Cape Cod, Massachusett

Abandon Ship! Designated as a national seashore by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, Cape Cod is home to many poets and artists who find inspiration in the natural beauty of the area.

The area is also known as an "ocean graveyard" because of the more than 1,000 ships that met their ends during violent storms in the early days.
